RETAINED LIFE ESTATES
You can contribute your residence, vacation home, or farm to the UW and continue to occupy and use the donated property for life. If you are married, you and your spouse can retain a life estate for your joint lives and the lifetime of your survivor. During your lifetime(s), you will be treated as the owner(s) of the property and be responsible for maintenance, insurance, taxes and other expenses but you will qualify for an immediate tax deduction.

"Supporting UW and higher education plays a great part in our financial planning."
Patti and Louis Marsh
BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION FOR LIFE INSURANCE OR RETIREMENT ASSETS
You can name the UW as the beneficiary of a portion or all of a life insurance policy, retirement plan, or IRA and designate your gift to support the school, college, or program of your choice.
