Leonard D. Hudson, M.D. Endowed Chair Leonard D.Hudson, M.D. is a pioneer in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. He has been a highly regarded clinician, teacher, researcher,and leader for more than three decades, and has worked to assure lung health at local, national, and international levels. Among his achievements, Dr. Hudson is most proud of the fellowship training program he developed at UW Medicine. The program has graduated more than 200 pulmonary and critical care physicians throughout the world, many of whom are located in the Pacific Northwest. To honor Dr. Hudson’s outstanding leadership, UW Medicine’s Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the American Lung Association of Washington are working together to establish an endowed chair in his name.
Geriatrics Research Fund Medical advances in the Division of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine rely upon private gifts. While the department receives support from government agencies, foundations, and other funders, those resources are often restricted to very specific purposes. Gifts made to this fund will support various promising research efforts in the division, and will benefit our patients! and the larger biomedical community.
Radiation Oncology Discretionary Fund This fund allows the department to pursue its mission by supporting research, teaching, patient care, and other departmental priorities at the discretion of the chair.
Gastrointestinal Research Fund This fund supports the Advanced Residency (Fellowship) Training Program within the Division of Gastroenterology, which prepares trainees for careers in research, clinical gastroenterology, and academic medicine.
