Student Calling Program

What We Do
The Student Calling Program plays a significant role in the UW's annual giving efforts. In the 2008 fiscal year, student callers contacted more than 93,000 alumni and friends. More than 23 percent of these calls resulted in a pledge of support to the UW, for a total of 21,627 pledges and $1,492,462 raised. The Student Calling Program also provides thousands of alumni and friends with what may be their only direct contact to the University of Washington. And it introduces the student callers to what for many becomes a lifelong relationship with philanthropy.

CallersStudent Managers
Part-time student managers assist the assistant director and project manager in managing 80+ part-time student callers. The Student Calling Program works in partnership with and conducts solicitations for most UW campuses, schools, colleges, and programs year-round, six days a week.

How to Apply
Please drop by our office to pick up an application or download one here. You can click here to read the Student Caller job description. Remember you must be a UW Student with strong communication skills and Husky pride to apply!

Giving back
Working for our program not only raises money for the UW, but also educates student callers about the importance of giving back. In the past, several student callers contributed to the UW Senior Class Gift Campaign, served on the Senior Class Gift Committee, and continue to give back after graduation.
