"I think after my time at the UW, what stands out to me most is how grateful I am for everything I've been given: the opportunity to learn from some of the world's most knowledgeable professors, meet some incredible people, and live in the most beautiful city. My experience here has been incredibly formative: it has helped to shape everything from my idea of who I am and who I want to become, to my newfound love of football (that extends beyond being a fair-weather fan)! I really know now what it means to have school pride. I love that I'm a Husky, and I want to give something back to the UW so that I know I've done my part to ensure that the Huskies who come after me can have an equally amazing experience." Jessica Tollenaar-Olive, Class of 2010

Through the Senior Class Gift, this year's graduates thank those that came before them for their contributions, ensure that current and future UW students continue to receive outstanding educational opportunities, and take the first step in becoming part of a legacy of philanthropy here at the UW.

Over the past century, UW classes have united together to give back to the University in a variety of ways. From the columns in Sylvan Grove to the cherry trees in the Quad to the numerous scholarships and scholarship endowments available to students across our campus, the mark of generations of students that have come before is both evident and everlasting. Becoming part of this tradition shows that the Class of 2010 values the education they received, carries the same spirit and Husky pride of past UW classes, and believes in reaching out to give back and helping students to come.

The Senior Class Gift Council has the responsibility and privilege of selecting campus-specific class gift projects that embody the spirit of their entire class. This year's council is made up of 60 students from all three campuses and has worked throughout the year as a team to plan and organize the campaign and inspire other 2010 graduates to give.
