Students: Giving Back before Graduation
The University takes great pride in student support because it sends a message to all potential donors. When alumni and friends see that students are making their own gifts they are often inspired to contribute more, because they're impressed by the generosity and commitment shown by our students. Read more about student philanthropy Every gift from a student donor is treasured--regardless of the size of the gift. It is a vote of confidence that creates a bond with the University's alumni and friends and unites them in a collective effort to strengthen our University community. The graduating class has traditionally given a Senior Class Gift which is presented at Commencement in thanks for all that the University of Washington has given them. Private support has never been more important. The funds found within this website provide support for student aid, department, center and program support, facilities and equipment, as well as recruitment and retention of outstanding faculty. We encourage you to support the programs you feel most passionate about. Please take some time to search for a fund that you believe in. Begin that search here. >> Are you a student looking for a job? Do you enjoy being a part of the UW community and feel that you would serve as a great representative for the institution? As a branch of the UW Foundation, the Student Calling Center employs current UW students to make phone calls to alumni and friends of the University seeking financial donations to various departments and programs throughout the UW. Our student callers have the chance to learn the basics of the University's fundraising needs and processes while acquiring valuable professional skills. If you are interested in learning more about working for the Student Calling Program click here or call 206.543.0742. Applications are available online or can be picked up in person.
