President's Fund for Excellence

One way you can contribute to the University of Washington is by giving the President's Fund for Excellence. Gifts to this fund are used at the discretion of President Emmert to meet student needs everywhere on campus- including scholarships for current and incoming students and awards for outstanding faculty members - and allow the University to respond to new initiatives as they arise.

The President's Fund for Excellence provides for the Presidential Scholarships and the Diversity Scholars Invitational Scholarships. These student awards offer support for tuition, books, and supplies, and allow students to fully immerse themselves into their academic studies without the additional burden of finding ways to pay for tuition.

Additionally, the University's Distinguished Faculty and Staff Awards, Excellence in Teaching Awards, and Public Service Awards are also all funded through the President's Fund for Excellence. These honors encourage the continued educational and scientific accomplishment of our renowned faculty and staff, which in turn benefit every student on campus.

Providing a world-class education to qualified students will positively affect every aspect of our future, as well as our ability to be creative and innovative when facing the challenges our society and world must overcome.
