"UW Bothell has helped me change my life. It is a valuable gift to the community that should be cherished by all." -Stephen Boyet, ’04 Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, ’05 Teaching Certificate

Our Priorities

The University of Washington Bothell provides the benefits of a small campus with the resources and prestige of a world-renowned university. Because of our unique location, our students are able to receive an UW education while still remaining grounded in their own communities. We believe that the population prospers when bright, committed people contribute to the future, and UW Bothell transforms our students into individuals who have the tools to shape the future.

As the fastest growing four-year institution in the region, UW Bothell is dedicated to progressive, accessible education for all students. Offering over 30 degrees, options, certificates and concentrations, our curriculum emphasizes close student-faculty interaction, collaboration among students, and hands-on learning. For the past 20 years, we have helped transform lives and enhance economic development throughout the Puget Sound.

How Are We Different?

  • Our approach – We offer interdisciplinary programs that span across our majors to encourage collaboration.
  • Our population – Our student-faculty ratio is 23:1, which leads to a closer student-teacher atmosphere and creates lasting bonds and relationships that last a lifetime.
  • Our goals – We provide the benefits of higher education to underserved populations, including those who are first in their families to enroll in a college or university.

What's the result?

Graduates of UW Bothell possess a vast knowledge base and a collection of experience and skills that can immediately be applied to the work place. Best of all, our graduates are equipped with the expertise and understanding to shape our region's future while they build their own.

Program and Annual Support

As UW Bothell celebrates its 20th academic year, we continue to grow by leaps and bounds, welcoming our largest class of underclassmen ever. Because regional needs change, our programs must have the flexibility to respond and evolve to meet community's requirements.

As our region grows and our campus expands, the needs of our academic programs also increase. Private funding from our community and our alumni allows the UW Bothell and its academic programs to meet our priorities for the 21st Century:

  • Innovation: Support signature strengths in interdisciplinary scholarship and innovative teaching.
  • Student Centered: Enhance student services to support academic success and enrich student life.
  • Community: Deepen and broaden community engagement and research.
  • Diversity: Enhance campus commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.
  • Sustainability: Develop environmental and human sustainability as a signature initiative.

Every day, the UW Bothell does the very best to provide world-class learning opportunities and real-world, hands-on experiences. But without the help of our generous alumni and community, many students would not be able to afford their education. You can help by making a gift to the UW Bothell Excellence Fund or academic program of your choice.
Thank you!
