On October 15, 2004, the University of Washington hosted Come Together Washington, a grand celebration of community and University achievements that also marked the public launch of Campaign UW: Creating Futures, the UW's $2 billion comprehensive fundraising effort. Come Together Washington provided friends, alumni, students, faculty, community leaders, and the general public a singular opportunity to reflect on some of the University's achievements in areas such as education, healthcare, culture, environmental and economic stewardship, and public service, and to share the UW's aspirations and hopes for tomorrow.
