About Campaign UW: Creating Futures

The University of Washington launched Campaign UW: Creating Futures in July 2000 to ensure that its students, faculty and staff have the resources to remain competitive among the world's top research institutions, while providing broader access to the University for more students.

Eight years later, nearly 300,000 alumni, friends, corporations, foundations and other organizations are providing tremendous support for the UW and the future of the region through their investment of more than $2.6 billion in the future of our students, faculty, programs and facilities. This unprecedented partnership between the University of Washington and its generous supporters is strengthening nearly every corner of the University's three campuses, enabling the UW to continue answering today's greatest challenges.

Campaign UW: Creating Futures is enriching the lives of our students by providing them with opportunities to reach their goals. It is giving UW faculty the resources they need to be the most effective teachers and to make groundbreaking discoveries that improve the lives of people in our community and around the world. It allows UW programs to serve the local community and the world through innovative research, education and public outreach. The commitment to improving facilities on the University's three campuses means that UW students and faculty will have exceptional learning and research environments, giving them the cutting-edge tools they need to succeed.

Together, we have reached a tremendous milestone in the history of the University of Washington. And together, we will continue to create better futures for the people of Washington State and beyond.
